I can see both sides of the coin when it comes to certain changes. So I can see why some things have been made a lot harder and the reasoning for it. We both have concerns about the playability of these changes, especially for new players that join midgame, they wont survive all the well without a town to join, but towns might become suspicious of new people that they do not have a prior "relationship" with.
Things in the poll are not things we hate as a specific, I wanted to have a range of areas for people to vote on. If I've forgotten anything list it and I might make a new poll later on (like a month from now, etc). I was mainly curious to see what the rest of you all thought of some of those aspects and I'd love to hear what you guys think.
So, you've all had a few days to get a feel for the game? What are your thoughts?
I just posted this on the subreddit but here are my thoughts:
I don't like the modpack. Really this just transformed the so called "Civilization Server" into a tech server with a couple groups that call themselves "countries". There is no Civilization aspect to this new server. I admit that I was excited about the modpack. I saw it as something new to learn, but now that I have experienced it, I can say that it is not as fun as the previous world we had.
The hunger is way overpowered and extremely debilitating. The tech mods are massive and confusing to those who have never used them before. Some people can't even join the server because they can't get the modpack working!
I think we need to completely restructure, once again. I believe we should keep the extra biomes, reinstate towny (or some other kind of region plugin), and remove all of the other mods. (That would probably require a world reset :\ )
The modpack is an interesting twist, but not the right one for our needs.
